"It was great being at the Planes of Fame Air Museum yesterday. I'm so glad Sandy recruited me for the occasion. It was a worthwhile experience and I really enjoyed participating in the event. I must compliment you and all concerned on the extremely organized function. Enclosed are a couple photos of me wearing my 65-year old helmet, goggles and oxygen mask, which ended up like the paparazzi (taking pictures)."

Events and Outreach

Event Saturdays

These events are generally held on the first Saturday of every month in conjunction with the Living History Event Days at Planes of Fame Air Museum. While the Living History Event is being held in the Maloney Hangar, special events are held in the Aviation Discovery Center for our younger visitors. While the activities vary from month to month, visitors can anticipate a range of hands on activities and exhibits to engage, inspire and educate young aviation enthusiasts. Please check the Planes of Fame Facebook page for the latest details on upcoming events.

Educators’ Afternoon Preview

The Planes of Fame Air Museum invites K-12 teachers, principals and homeschool educators who have not yet visited our facilities to experience the educational value of a field trip to our unique museum located at the Chino Airport. The free Educators' Afternoon Preview is held the first Tuesday of every month from 3:30 pm to 5:00pm. Educators are free to walk the facilities and visit the Aviation Discovery Center and meet our Education Coordinator to get information about the museum's school-tour program for the coming school year. Educators must present their district employee badge or appropriate identification at the Gift Shop to be granted entrance to the afternoon preview.
