"Many thanks for arranging a tour for LF, the 95-year old former Flying Tiger. It was a huge experience for him... his entire family and I am extremely grateful. You made an old fighter pilot very happy!"

AIR SHOW UPDATE 4/28/2017

THANKS TO OVERWHELMING SUPPORT, THE 2017 PLANES OF FAME AIR SHOW WILL BE HELD MAY 6 & 7!!
This is the Planes of Fame Air Museum’s 60th Anniversary and we have been working non-stop to make this year’s Air Show better than ever!! By Friday afternoon next week, the Chino airport will be ready for one of the best warbird air shows around. The ramp will be full of WWII, Korean and current military aircraft ready for display and flying. Five Corsairs, the Flying Wing, Tigercats, Sea Furies, P-51’s the F-35 and many other aircraft ready to fly for your aeronautical enjoyment. We can’t wait!

We wish to thank our many supporters including the Mayors of Chino and Chino Hills, Chino Airport businesses and tenants, numerous aviation organizations such as the International Council of Airshows (ICAS), EAA, AOPA, Reno Air Racing Association, air museums around the world and almost 16,000 support signatures on our change.org petition. We thank all of you who have helped us fight the legal challenge brought by Yanks Air Museum and Flying Tigers Aviation (the remaining challengers).

While being sued, we feel discretion is the better part of valor. It is difficult to show restraint when being publicly maligned. We have offered Yanks significant free display space at The Planes of Fame Air Show each of the last 20+ years. Other than last year they have always participated. We also reached out to Yanks and Flying Tigers earlier this year to meet and discuss issues. Their response was they would only meet if their attorney was present. Additionally, Flying Tigers Aviation has provided fuel for the Air Show in two of the prior 3 years. Last year they didn’t respond to the Request For Proposal . Lastly, filing a lawsuit against us one month prior to Air Show has certainly caused extra long work days, but your support helped us push forward.

Other legal issues remain as their lawsuit against us is still in place. For this reason our comments regarding the lawsuit are brief.

THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE AIR SHOW SUPPORTERS WHO HAVE HELPED MAKE THIS YEAR'S AIR SHOW POSSIBLE!

AIR SHOW 2017 IS A GO AND
WE JUST WANT TO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!

Thank You For Your Support!

Your heartfelt words of encouragement and the overwhelming support we have received have strengthened our determination to save the Air Show more than ever!

Comments and letters have come from people in our own community, all over the state of California, the Midwest, East Coast, and places like Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, the U.K., Germany and Japan.

All of the scheduled performers, sponsors, vendors and volunteers are committed to supporting the Air Show and are planning to be here on the weekend of May 6th and 7th for your enjoyment.

If you are hesitating to purchase your air show ticket, we ask please don't wait!

Buy your ticket! If the order to stop the show happens, all Planes of Fame Air Show ticket purchases will be refunded by Planes of Fame Air Museum.

We are moving full speed ahead with preparations for the Air Show and will continue to do so unless the judge tells us otherwise. The fate of the Air Show will be decided in court on April 20.

The April 4 deadline for petitions on change.org has passed, but we've been told to keep the letters and signatures coming in! Our next goal is 15,000! Please sign the online petition at https://www.change.org/p/planes-of-fame-air-museum-don-t-let-them-stop-our-air-show

Please send all comments, concerns and questions to letusfly@planesoffame.org #LetUsFly

We read every single comment written (there's a lot!) and we are keeping every single one.

One of our most valued staff members is personally responding to all of the emails that have been received - she has been working non-stop every day since the petition was posted.

You have stood by our side during this difficult time and we owe it to the future of Aviation, Air Shows and to each and every one of you to save Planes of Fame Air Show.

THANK YOU! WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT!

Please share this with anyone that you think would like to help us save the Air Show.

A MESSAGE FROM STEVE HINTON
