Planes of Fame Airshow – Media Opportunities
The annual Planes of Fame Airshow features an assortment of aircraft and flying performances that harken back to the glory days of aviation. Air festivals, events, and shows have been a part of aviation history since the earliest days of flight. The Planes of Fame Airshow continues this tradition with special emphasis on the aircraft that flew for various combatants during the Second World War.
Each year, dozens of WWII-era warbirds are joined by historic aircraft from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s for this annual Airshow at the Chino Airport. For members of the media, the Planes of Fame Airshow is an opportunity to connect your audiences with the role that aviation has played and continues to play in our daily lives while focusing on the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women who designed, built and flew aircraft during some of America’s greatest conflicts.
Qualifying members of the media are requested to complete the “Media Credentials Application” (see bottom of page) in order to secure Media Credentials. Please note that submission of the application does not constitute approval for Media Credentials. Once your application is received, we will review and determine if you qualify for Media Credentials to the Airshow. You will be notified in writing (email) if we have any questions or to provide notice of approval.
Only those approved members of the media will be granted Media access to the event and to specific Media areas once inside the Airshow. Note: These areas do not include access beyond the fence line onto the hot ramp area or any other identified off limits areas. Media Credentials do not grant access to the Sunrise Photo Tour.
Media Credentials are limited due to space availability and verification and are available on a first come/first-served basis. They are only available for working media representatives. They will not be issued to members of family, friends, or other staff members of media organization not directly covering the event. Only approved Media representatives will be permitted in the Media areas (i.e. Media Pit) and any family, friends or others may not enter these areas to be alongside working Media representatives.
