Every day at Planes of Fame Air Museum, you can experience history - both the reliving of it and the making of it. When one of our planes flies, for most it is a rare and wonderful thing to witness. Planes of Fame Air Museum has maintained a fleet of flyable historic aircraft for over 60 years! The Museum has operated these types of aircraft longer than the Army Air Corps or Air Force did. Planes of Fame Air Museum truly is where aviation history lives.

You too can experience history through Planes of Fame Air Museum. Maybe you live too far to visit, but we hope this website gives you a taste of what we try to do here every day. And maybe someday, you will hear the roar, look up in the sky and see one of our planes overhead!

“Your Planes of Fame airshow 2013 was amazing! So many spectacularly restored warbirds. It's not an airshow, but history in flight!”
Joe U., Sun Valley, CA
“I visited Planes of Fame about 3 years ago. If I had to offer a one-word description it would be "Wow!" ... I was wearing my VFM uniform shirt and ID badge (and) the folks at Planes of Fame welcomed me like I was a personal friend!”
Internet post from Texas
“The air show was very well organized... and was made to look simple. A lot of hard work was obviously put in by all involved. I won't mention it all, but we enjoyed everything we saw at Airshow 2009!”
Sam F., Upland, CA
“I attended the air show and was amazed by the number of beautifully restored aircraft and how well-organized the air show was. As a former airman in Korea, I was delighted to see some of my familiar aircraft in the show.... it is my pleasure to contribute to your well-oiled operation”
Ross S. - USA
“Recently, I visited the Planes of Fame Air Museum and found it most interesting... it is the way all museums should be patterned after. Someone is doing an excellent job.”
Sam F., Sherman Oaks, CA
