Every day at Planes of Fame Air Museum, you can experience history - both the reliving of it and the making of it. When one of our planes flies, for most it is a rare and wonderful thing to witness. Planes of Fame Air Museum has maintained a fleet of flyable historic aircraft for over 60 years! The Museum has operated these types of aircraft longer than the Army Air Corps or Air Force did. Planes of Fame Air Museum truly is where aviation history lives.

You too can experience history through Planes of Fame Air Museum. Maybe you live too far to visit, but we hope this website gives you a taste of what we try to do here every day. And maybe someday, you will hear the roar, look up in the sky and see one of our planes overhead!

“Just a quick note of thanks to Ed Maloney, Steve Hinton, the staff, the volunteers and the sponsors for a really great air show. There's no doubt that you have one of the finest air museums in the country. I'm proud to be a member.”

“Your Planes of Fame airshow 2013 was amazing! So many spectacularly restored warbirds. It's not an airshow, but history in flight!”
Joe U., Sun Valley, CA
“Recently, I visited the Planes of Fame Air Museum and found it most interesting... it is the way all museums should be patterned after. Someone is doing an excellent job.”
Sam F., Sherman Oaks, CA
“Just got back home to Hawaii. I wanted you to know that I stopped by the Planes of Fame Air Museum Monday with my son. He's a fabricator/welder (hot rods/motorcycles) and I thought he'd enjoy your place. Understatement. We met a great gentleman in your "restoration" hanger. He was busy working on the Me- 109 but saw our curiosity and dropped everything to show my son some of the tools/equipment that are used. He toured us around a bit with his wealth of knowledge. It was absolutely cool. Thanks for everything. I have and will spread the word. Your place is special. Mahalo.”
Chris G., Hawaii
“It was terrific to see the P-59...it brought back the feeling of elation I had some 65 years ago when I first saw the real thing... I had about 10 hours in the P-59. Enclosed is my check to be used in the restoration of the P-59.”
Harry M., Little Rock, Arkansas
